Monument Valley Level 4 Walkthrough
Chapter 4: Water Palace in Monument Valley introduces players to new mechanics involving rotating structures and hidden staircases. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate through this level successfully.
Objective
The goal of Chapter 4 is to guide Ida through the Water Palace by manipulating various platforms and activating buttons to create pathways.
Walkthrough Steps
-
Initial Setup:
- Start by rotating the pink valve 180 degrees to reveal a staircase.
- Move Ida onto the newly created path leading to the orange button.
-
Creating Paths:
- After stepping on the orange button, rotate the pink structure 90 degrees clockwise. This will create a new pathway for Ida.
- Move Ida across this path and then rotate the structure again (180 degrees) so that Ida can access the next doorway.
-
Continuing Forward:
- Proceed into the next area. Here, step on another orange button located around the corner.
- Look for three circular handles on the left side of the area. Drag these handles to create a path for Ida to reach another orange button.
-
Unlocking Further Paths:
- After activating this button, it will unlock a rotatable handle at the bottom of the structure. Use this handle to rotate the structure 180 degrees.
- Move towards the waterfall area by rotating the structure again (90 degrees counterclockwise) and walk towards the stairway that becomes visible.
-
Final Steps:
- Once you reach near the end of the pink platform, rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise to align with another pathway.
- Continue moving Ida along this path until you reach a door. Use circular handles near this door to rotate the structure so that it aligns with Ida, allowing her to step through.
-
Dialogue and Progression:
- Upon entering, you will encounter a mysterious figure again. After your dialogue, exit through the door at the end of this section.
-
Completing Chapter 4:
- Once back in the open area, rotate the first pink platform to create a path leading to the level exit.
- Walk Ida over to complete Chapter 4.
Tips
- Take your time to observe how each rotation affects other platforms in the level.
- Use visual cues from the environment to determine which paths are accessible after manipulating structures.
- Experiment with different rotations if you find yourself stuck; sometimes, a simple adjustment can reveal new pathways.
By following these steps, you should be able to navigate through Chapter 4 of Monument Valley smoothly and enjoyably!
